FOR YOUR EYES ONLY

Our eyes are the windows of our “temple”. With these organs we can see the glittering sunlight every morning, we can observe the silvery moon as it hides to the spooky clouds at night, we can linger our sight to the beautiful faces we see everyday, we can utter words of appreciation for all these wonderful things that the Almighty GOD created as we observe Gaia (Mother Earth) when we wake up everyday.

To top it all, one of the most important purpose of the human eye is to help us on our endeavor to earn a decent living.

Since we (writers) spend most of the time in front of our computers, we are prone to experience what we call, “computer eye strain”. This is a condition when our eyes become weary which affects our minds and bodies.

Worry no more. Here’re some tips on how we can prevent computer eye strain:

1.) Palm ‘em – Lean your elbows on your computer table. Cup your hands and place them lightly over your closed eyes. Hold for a minute, while breathing deeply in and out. Slowly uncover your eyes.

2.) Roll ‘em – Close your eyes and slowly roll your eyeballs clockwise all the way around. Repeat 3 times. Now, slowly roll them all the way around counterclockwise. Repeat 3 times.

3.) Look Away – Every half-hour, look away from the computer screen. Focus on an object at least 20 feet away. Look back at the screen, then look away and focus again. Repeat 3 times.

Let’s take care of our eyes. This will not only make us physically fit but will also help us provide excellent masterpieces for our readers.

**Special thanks to Ms. Michelle Ricca Dacanay for lending me this concept.

Tinamaan mo, Jeff.

Dati, malabo ang mata ko. Biruin mo, minus 650 ang grado nito?

One day, I have decided to have LASER SURGERY. I went for the no-touch procedure and now I have 20-15 vision, even better than 20-20.

I can also drive without the pesky contact lenses.

Having a perfect vision is quite liberating.
